The experience

The forest begins where the path ends

Snowshoes have helped people move through deep snow for generations. They let us leave the busiest tracks behind and find the quieter side of Bymarka—snow-covered spruce trees, frozen clearings and the soft sound of winter underfoot.

This is not a race or a summit challenge. We move at a comfortable pace, adapt the route to the group and take time to notice the forest. In the darkest part of winter, headlamps light the snow while the changing sky creates its own atmosphere.

Come snow, come shine

There is no wrong kind of winter.

Fresh snowfall, crisp cold, soft fog or a clear blue morning all create a different experience. We dress for the conditions, choose a suitable route and let the weather become part of the story. Safety always decides how and where we walk.
