A food landscape, not a fixed itinerary

Only a short journey from Trondheim, the city gives way to open fields, working farms and wide views across the fjord. Guests travel between selected farms to discover how food is grown, harvested and shared.

The exact route changes with the season, the harvest and the farmers available that day. That is part of the experience.

Pick your own berries

When the season allows, guests can walk between rows of strawberries or raspberries and pick their own. The sweetest berry is often the one eaten outdoors, still warm from the sun and only seconds after it leaves the plant.

Outside the picking season, a visit may instead focus on preserves, frozen berries, juice, jam or stories from the year's harvest.

Honey shaped by the landscape

Byneset's bees move through berry fields, flowering clover and the surrounding countryside. Guests may taste local honey and learn how colour, texture and flavour change according to where the bees gather nectar.

A spoonful of honey becomes a taste of both season and landscape.

What each farm produces

Every farm has its own character, products and rhythm. One stop may offer berries and honey, while another produces milk, yoghurt, vegetables, potatoes, eggs, meat or preserves.

Selected farm shops may also carry cheese and other specialities from neighbouring farms and regional producers. What guests can taste and purchase depends on the season, harvest and what each participating farm actually produces.

This is not a fixed shopping list. It is an opportunity to discover what is available locally at that particular moment—and meet the people who made it.
